The Israeli Intelligence Corps is an Israel Defense Forces corps which falls under the jurisdiction of IDF Directorate of Military Intelligence.

The Israeli Intelligence Corps is responsible for collecting, disseminating, and publishing intelligence information for the General Staff and the political branch. The corps also engages in counter-intelligence and information security work, and presents general assessments.

The corps includes Unit 8200, which is the IDF central collection unit, responsible for SIGINT collection and cryptographical analysis, including the Hatzav Unit, responsible for collecting OSINT intelligence.

How the Color was Chosen- Dark Green. Amnon Lipkin-Shahak that was the Head of Intelligence in the beginning of the 90’s, made the decision jointly with then הקמנ"ר Daj Oren Shahor to transition to the green Beret. According to military tale green color comes from the Lily flower. The relationship between it and the army is shrouded in mystery.
